Here is what I have to say...  well, about anything I want.  Does that qualify as a blog?  The blog question is for someone who is more tech savey, 'cause I'm thinking a blog gives you a forum to respond.  You defininately can.  You'll just have to E-mail me.  I'm old school.  I'm thinking this may be more like an updated form of Babble Ball.  Instead of incessant talking it is the incessant tapping of keys and I'll be "out" when you stop reading.  You tell me.

I have not blabbed here 'cause I'm all over the Gabster.  But what I want to share is that since my last entry I have a bowling Pro that works with me.  Scott Pohl at Cedarvale lanes is customer service orientated.  I just want more gifted lessons.

I am so blessed.  I work with the most fabulous people.  I get to get up everyday and hang out with folks that are pursuing their passion.  So... Thank you all for the opportunity to learn and grow with you.

I got to bowl at the new bowling center in Turtle Lake, WI yesterday.  Brand spankin' new this fall - Spare Time Bowl Bar & Grill.  You can't miss it.  It's one block off Hwy 8 on Industrial Street and the front is log cabin style.  It has a full bar  and dining area decorated in the adirondack style, and home made pizza is featured on the menu.  We were full of turkey and fixin's so only indulged in the bar portion and had refreshing beverages.  There are 8 lanes to bowl on and we bowled on lane 7.  My third game for the afternoon I acheived my highest personal score to date - 239.  So if you're ever in Turtle Lake and need a bowling fix, I would recommend Spare Time Bowl Bar & Grill.

I'm an avid listener of FM 107.1.  I discovered it about a year ago.  Have you tuned in yet?  When I first discovered the station I was just amazed no one had told me about it.  Who knew that the Twin Cities had talk radio with a majority of local talent that was focused on entertaining women.  So now you know.  If you haven't already - TUNE IN.  Then when you get hooked, like me, you can join FM 107.1 Listeners Out Loud.  You'll find that at www.fm1071.com.

It's bowling season.  I'm really excited.  I want this to be the year I get a sanctioned 200 game.  I did get a 176 game on the 16th.  If I could build a bowling alley in my house or yard, I'd have one.

Happy Anniversary to Us!  Brian and I are celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary today.  Who knew it would be this… everything! I met Brian when I was just 15 years old.  It was not my intension to be married to him way back then but he was a really great guy.  He was really genuine, honest, funny and cute and had/has these really attractive Popeye forearms.  He had become… a really great friend.  Until he started dating my “sister” (there is another story for that “sister” thing but you’ll have to ask for that).  But he was still, a really great friend.   But then he was the guy I loved to hate, my antagonist.   Our lives separated for life circumstances. Now when I was just about 18 years old I was at a point in my life where a really great guy would be a good thing.  So I reached out to Brian and he responded.  Who knew that the kiss on the couch when I was nearly 16 really did mean something?  OK, only to me, because when this event was brought up recently I really got the feeling I was the only one this moment impressed.  Although, I do have to say that, Brian did respond in a way that he did have a memory of the event and defended his “sister” pursuit in a way that was… satisfactory. My fondest memories of our courtship were the rides the Camero; down any road.  Brian and I would have a discussion where we did not necessarily agree and the proposed resolution… Brian would ask, “Do you want to fight?”  “Yes!” was my response.  The car was stopped and we would get out of the car and wrestle.  I was always sure Brian was at a complete disadvantage because I knew all of Vern Gagne’s moves.  And the result was… great gobs of giggles. To this day Brian and I still experience… great gobs of giggles.  Wrestling is one move, but there are just the silly moments in our lives that Brian makes me laugh out loud, because he makes the effort every day be my best friend.

Thank you, Brian for being my best friend.  I appreciate your love and your ability to make me feel like I can do any thing because I can and because I have you…

Monday 9 July -
We have returned from a fantastic weekend of Squatting in our new 1999 35' Jayco travel trailer.  Pictures to prove it are on the page entitled Graphics Intense appropriately named because if you are not high speed, it's a drag.  Fair warning, this is more than a paragraph.  When ready, proceed. Now you should know that I had no intensions of owning any kind of Recreational Vehicle.  I was completely content with my life's path until my man said, "What do you think of those Camping Cabin’s?", as we were headed north on Hwy 169 to celebrate the HS graduation of our niece.  Of course I was in my book and said, "What Camping Cabin's?", and completely missed the spot on the road the man was referring to. The significant part of this story is... we were introduced to the Labor Day weekend tradition of Fish Boil in Port Wing, WI by my brother-in-law who was fortunate enough to meet and marry Mary and her family (the originators); that introduced and included us into this tradition.  As time evolved camping on the south shore of Lake Superior became obsolete due to land value and development.  My brother-in-law provided a resolution by purchasing property as close to the beloved Labor Day event as possible. So now we are on our way home from the HS graduation and my man has reintroduced the Camping Cabin conversation in relationship to the near Port Wing property, for which, has become so much more than just the Labor Day weekend event because of accessibility and affordability.  So as we are headed south on Hwy 169 and we are both looking for the “Camping Cabin’s”.  And there they are, in Ham Lake, the cutest looking “Camping Cabins” on the RV lot.  OK the man would not use the word cute, but they are… cool. Yes I said RV lot.  Turns out the “Camping Cabin’s” are really, for all intense and purposes - trailer homes.  Now this is exciting stuff.  Who knew you could just pull up to an RV lot and buy a “Cabin”.  From what I could see on that Sunday afternoon (you can’t purchase ANY type of vehicle on a Sunday), that is exactly what I was looking for in a “Camping Cabin”.  We were both really excited.  The man called to RV lot on Monday to get more details about what we had seen and what the costs involved were.

So here is why we are now the proud owner’s of a 1999 35’ Jayco travel trailer.  The “Cabin”, that I was so fond of, cost as much, or more, than a cabin could we could physically build.  What we have now is biggest piece of down payment for the sweat equity that I am not willing to invest right now into a “Cabin”.  So check out the visual aids.  I’m really happy with our investment.

Friday 13 April -

Today was a good day and a sad day.  Good - Today I recieved my first Triplicate patch for bowling a sanctioned 135 three games in a row.   Sad - Today I had to let go of our family pet Ginger, a 12 year old boxer.

Thursday 8 March -
Bowling has been pretty spectacular lately.  Being really focused on a sanctioned 200 game before season end is motivating, but I am running out of season.  Tonight was unsactioned night and thank goodness I didn't get a 200 game.  I would't get anything but the satisfaction of a print out of the game, and very likely the feeling of euphoria that would last for at least 24 hours.  It would likely go on the bulletin board but it's just... somehow not good enough, and frankly the patch is smaller, which will ulitmately leave more room for other stuff on the board.  What is spectacular about the unsanctioned game is the company I keep while pursuring another passion.  (Back the truck up... really there isn't a bowler I've met that I haven't liked.)  So my point is - Thank you Karen and Paige!  I'm so glad I got to spend the evening with you and look forward to bowling with
you on the 22nd.

Wednesday 28 February -
Found out today I like Thousand Island dressing.  I would likely have never tried it myself because I really enjoy French and Blue Cheese and both are readily available but circumstances lead me to the opportunity.  It happened with the kindness of my High Five client putting me on the "get everyone a lunch list" (they are really good at thinking about lunch at breakfast) and the fact that I'm just to lazy to go out and get my own lunch (or think about lunch at breakfast).  Sometimes the path of least resistance leads you to surprising new discoveries.
The reaffirmation of the day - snow storms look really cool from the comfort of your home.  Now the perspective is, the car is in the garage and I really don't have to go anywhere if I don't want to.  The lights reflecting up into the clouds gives a glow to the sky that has the depth of the twilight sky, that is my favorite color, and is some how indescribable and you just can't capture or repeat it on paper.  I may have a different perspective tomorrow.
